Show Rules
Entries: All entry fees, stall fees, and/or grounds fees must be accompanied by payment in full. Entries will be accepted by fax (with credit card payment), or mail. Completed entry form must be postmarked no later than November 10, 2012
Cross Entries: Horses and riders may enter as many classes as they desire as long as they comply with the class specifications.
Returned Checks: Any person writing a check on an account with insufficient funds will be charged a returned check fee of $50.00.
Post Entries: Post entries will be accepted after November 10, 2012 with an additional fee of $35.00/horse.
Refunds: Refund of entry fees or stall fees after the closing date of November 10, 2011 will be given minus a $25.00 office fee, providing a written veterinarian or physician certificate is received with refund request. Refunds may be held until the completion of the show at show management’s discretion.
Combined Classes: Show management reserves the right to combine and/or cancel classes if there are fewer than three (3) entries in a given class. Anyone who has entered a cancelled class will be refunded their entry fee.
Bedding: Bedding is available at Horseshoe Park Equestrian Center.
A pre-order form is included in this entry packet. Any additional bedding must be ordered through the show management with an open check or credit card number. NO OUTSIDE BEDDING
Dogs: All dogs shall be on a leash at all times during the horseshow.
Stalls: Stalls will be assigned based on the order in which the paid stall reservations are received.
Stall fees must accompany stall reservation. Stalls will not be assigned until payment is received. Stalls will be assigned on a first come first served basis.
Scoring: Each judge will place the top 10 horses in each class. The first place horse, regardless of the number of entries in a class, will receive 10 points. Second place will receive 9 points. Third place will receive 8 points, etc., thru 10th place. The points from all three judge’s cards will be totaled and the horse with the highest number of points will receive the Circuit Championship Award for that class.
Circuit Awards will be given in each class 1st thru 5th place.
Ties: The tie breaker for each class will be judge “B”. The horse placing highest under judge “B” will be declared the winner of the tie.
Protests: All protests must be made in writing by the end of the show, and a protest fee of $75.00 must accompany the protest.
If the protest is found to be valid, the $75.00 fee will be refunded.
Awards: No person will know which awards will be presented to any class until after the class has been placed. At that time, the Circuit Award for that class will be announced. Placings and awards will be presented at the conclusion of each class
Youth: An individual who has not reached his/her 19th birthday as of January 1st of the current year. The age of the youth as of January 1st will be the age maintained throughout the entire show year.
Amateur: An exhibitor 19 years of age or older who is an amateur defined by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) or recognized breed organization. A current amateur card is advised.
Novice: The purpose of the Novice Youth division is to raise the competencies and the confidence level of the person who has little or no experience in the show ring or is new to riding. This division is open to exhibitors who have not competed at, nor have they won championships at major breed events.
Junior Horse: A horse that is 5 years old and younger. May be shown in a bit, snaffle bit or hackamore.
Senior Horse: A horse that is 6 years old or older. Must be shown in a bit.
